Jeff Vaughn Loy

Jeff Loy, age 45, of Candler, NC passed away on April 24, 2025. Jeff was born in Asheville, NC on September 28, 1979 to Lee Loy and Amy Loy, both of Biltmore Lake, NC.

Jeff was a graduate of Asheville High School. He then graduated from Appalachian State University with a BSBA in International Business with a minor in Spanish. He also attended the Colorado School of Financial Planning. He was a former stock broker for Edward Jones and also an interpreter at Global Translation. Throughout his life, he enjoyed photography, travel, and astronomy.

Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lila Loy, Harmon Loy, Ollie Mae Vaughn Andrews, and Charles Vaughn. He is also preceded in death by his uncles, Robert Loy and Wade Vaughn, and his aunt, Melody Vaughn Clark.

Jeff is survived by his sister, Lisa Loy Connors (Gene Connors), of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He is also survived by his niece, Emily Connors, of Summerville, SC; his aunt, Linda Way (Roger Way), of Burlington, NC; his uncle, David Loy (Patricia Loy), of Burlington, NC; and his cousins, Karen Lovings, Sharon Cox, John Loy, Mark Wagoner, Michael Vaughn, and Keith Wagoner.

A celebration of life will be held at Central United Methodist Church, Asheville, NC, on May 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Mary Brown and Rev. Lisa Rettew officiating the service. A visitation will be held prior to the service, at 1:00 PM, in the Fellowship Hall at Central United Methodist Church. Interment will take place at the Memorial Garden at Central United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Church, NAMI, or American Heart Association.
