Jeffrey Blease Harwood, 55, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, died Monday, February 3, 2020, at Mission Memorial hospital. Jeff was born May 1, 1964, to Esther Maxine Farr and JB Harwood in Queens, New York. He enjoyed Nascar, Major League Baseball, National Football League and college basketball. Jeff served in the Army and National Guard. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, and by his grandparents, Pearl and Blease Farr, and Kathryn and Harley Harwood. Jeff is survived by his mother; his wife of 37 years, Rebecca Allen Harwood; his daughter, Brittani Travis and her husband Matthew of Hendersonville, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Chase Harwood, Carrigan Wynn, Copelyn Wynn and Cain Travis, all of Hendersonville, North Carolina; his brother, Scott Harwood and his wife Elizabeth of Arden, North Carolina; his mother- and father-in-law, Shelby and Russell Allen of Old Fort, North Carolina; brother- and sister-in-law Ken and Stephanie Allen of Ridgecrest, North Carolina, and brother-in-law Chris Allen of Old Fort, North Carolina; and by his nieces and nephews, Emily, Jeremy, Nathan, Jaylen, Russell, Haylen, Noelle, Zech, Chelcie, Cayden, Alex and Peyton. The family would like to extend special thanks to Will Johnson for his friendship and support, Jeff’s work family at Champion Coach, and Buzz Williams, Coach for Texas A&M men’s basketball, for his love of Jeff and his incredible generosity.
