Jerry James Dennis, Jr., 52, of Yancey County, NC, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020, at his residence.

“Junior” was born in Burnsville, NC on January 26, 1968, to Jerry James Dennis, Sr. and the late Hallie Gail Furr Lamb. He was married to Ora Braswell Dennis. Junior was a former manager of Subway and was a member of Windom Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Ora Dennis of Burnsville; a son, Joshua Dennis and wife Holly of Albemarle, NC; a daughter Sommer Dennis of Albemarle; a stepson, Daniel Braswell of Burnsville; his father, Jerry Dennis, Sr.; a brother, J.R. Dennis and wife Jessica; a half brother Carl Lamb; a grandson, Jonathan Dennis; his mother in law, Barbara Braswell; and a special friend, Carrie Mae Dearing of Burnsville.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Windom Baptist Church in Burnsville. Bro. Randall Robinson will officiate.
