Our dear mother, Jewel ‘Frances’ (Spurling) Chambers went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 17, 2024. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who was always there when anyone needed her.
Frances was born on May 26, 1935 to Charles and Essie Mae (Webb) Spurling in Wildwood, FL. After graduating Wildwood High School in 1953, her love for God led her to Lee’s College in Cleveland, TN where she earned an Associates Degree.
Frances loved and was devoted to God, her country and her family. She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, beaches and sunshine. A loyal servant of God, she was dedicated to serving her church and community and being the church pianist.
Frances was predeceased by her parents, 4 sisters, 3 brothers and many nieces and nephews to which she is now joyfully reunited. She is survived by her son, Travis Chambers, and his wife, Angie, of Westfield, NC. Her daughter, Melody Fish, and her husband, Che’, of Candler, NC. Her two grandsons, Sebastian ‘Zack’ Fish (Megan) and Zyan Fish. And two beloved great-grandchildren, Sakura Fish and Zoda Fish.
Our family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Care Partners Solace Center who took such loving care of our mother. A memorial will be held for our sweet mother on a date to be determined.
