Johnnie Foxx Obituary

Johnnie Ellis Foxx, 75, of Asheville, passed away on April 8, 2018. Johnnie was born on November 6, 1942 to Malcolm and Ruth Ellis. Johnnie spent most of her life caring for others as a CNA to Alzheimer patients. She loved to color, do crossword puzzles, read and loved birds. She attended First Baptist Church in Black Mountain and was the President of Resident Council at Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center. Johnnie was a loving mother, grandma/nana and friend.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Patty Foxx, Pam (Justin) Mackinson and Joey Foxx. She also leaves behind her sister, Barbara McCarthy; grandchildren, Mallory Foxx, Cody Ricketts, one niece, two nephews and seven great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 3:00PM at Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center. In lieu of flowers, please consider a love offering to Recovery Ventures Corp. 70 Old US Hwy 70 Swannanoa, NC 28778.
