Joseph Owenby Obituary

Joseph (Joe) Howard Owenby, 59, of Fairview, NC passed away on June 14th, 2022 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC. Joe was born on March 3rd, 1963 in Hendersonville, NC to the late Joseph Baxter Owenby and LuLa Mae Cagle Owenby.

Joe is survived by his son, Joseph Owenby (Fallon); his brother, Ralph (Lisa); and his sisters, Norma (Scott), Missy, Brenda, Paula, Minnie (Dan), and Martha. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 15 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you please send any donations/cards to Ralph Owenby, P.O. Box 825, Fairview, NC 28730. Joe was a strong, independent, hard working man that would give you the shirt off his back.
