Joseph Grant Warren

Joseph Grant Warren, 17, of Candler, NC, passed away at his home on June 4, 2026. He was born on July 30, 2008, in Asheville, NC, to Michael Darrell Warren and Andrea Yandle Warren, both of Candler.

Joseph was a junior at Enka High School, where he was deeply loved by his classmates. A proud member of the varsity football team, he cherished many memories on the field—especially last year’s big victory over Owen High. Joseph was also a member of Stoney Fork Independent Missionary Baptist Church.

An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, fishing, and hiking, and he spent much of his time exploring the mountains he loved.

In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by his siblings, Michael Warren of Candler, NC, Eric Warren of Candler, NC, Jeremiah Yandle of Colorado, Johnathon Smith of Candler, NC, Joy Warren of Candler, NC, and Jessica Warren of Candler, NC.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 2PM–3PM at Stoney Fork Independent Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Jeff Massey officiating. A private burial at Stoney Fork will take place at a later date.
