Joyce Ann Robinson Worley

Joyce Ann Robinson Worley, 80, of Nebo, NC passed away on July 27, 2025 in Asheville, NC. Born on April 4, 1945 in Asheville, NC to the late William Edgar Robinson and Maude Idella Reed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allan Worley and sister-in-law, Lynda Robinson.

Before making her home in Nebo, NC, Joyce lived in Swannanoa and graduated from Charles D. Owen High School. She pursued law enforcement training at A-B Technical Community College, which led to her role as a deputy with the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office—a position she held with pride and dedication. Joyce was a devoted member of Sunny Grove Baptist Church in Nebo, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She had countless hobbies and interests, each reflecting her vibrant spirit. Above all, she found deep joy in Bible study and in sharing the love and teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to God and her deep love for family and friends. Her days were filled with singing, crafting, and bringing joy to those around her. With a warm heart and gentle spirit, she radiated kindness—God’s love shone through her beautiful smile. The memories she leaves behind will be treasured by all who knew her.

Surviving Joyce are her children, Dawn Albaugh of Nebo, NC, Dwain Albaugh of Nebo, NC, Dee Dee Dockery (Byron) of Nebo, NC; siblings, Roy Robinson (Barbara) of Hendersonville, NC, Joe Robinson of Leicester, NC; grandchildren, Cody Mace (Haley) of Nebo, NC, Justin Mace of Nebo, NC, Jeffrey Willett (Madison) of Marion, NC, Bryana Dockery (Cory) of Bostic, NC; and great-grandchildren, Mason, Conner, Marilynn, and Forrest.
