Joyce Elaine “Granny” Williams Holmes of Asheville, North Carolina, passed May 19, 2022, at the age of eighty. Joyce was born July 20, 1941, to the late Lillian Louise Williams Hart in Beaverdam, North Carolina.

Joyce is survived by her children, Terri Black (Chad) of Asheville, North Carolina, Cindy Emile (Leon) of Fairview, North Carolina, Darin Harwood (Nancy) of Mills River, North Carolina, and Barry Harwood (Teresa) of Swannanoa, North Carolina; brother, Robbie Hart (Darlene) of Swannanoa, North Carolina, and sister, Darlene Burgess of Roscoe, New York; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

The family extends special thanks to CarePartners Hospice and the Solace Center.
