Judy Watty Goldsmith

Judy Watty Goldsmith, age 76, of Fletcher, NC passed away on July 18, 2025 in Fletcher, NC. Judy was born in Cherokee, NC on July 7, 1949 to the late Johnny Watty and Edith Swaney Wachacha.

Throughout her life, Judy enjoyed taking care of others as a CNA at the Buncombe County Health Department and several nursing homes in the area. She was an animal lover that enjoyed horses, cats, and dogs. She loved riding her motorcycle along the parkway with her husband, Rick Goldsmith. She spent her time relaxing with her family around a campfire, listening to music, laughing, and telling stories. We will miss her, but will forever hold her in our hearts.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Rick Goldsmith. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Anabelle Watty, Sarah Swaney, Nancy Watty, Jennie Mae Watty, Quincy Duke Watty, and John Henry Watty. Judy is survived by her children, Dee Creson (Myron Creson) and Paula Nelson (Ronnie Nelson); her siblings, Little Joe Watty, of Cherokee, NC and Michael Watty, of Cherokee, NC; her grandchildren, Brandon Creson, Megan Searcy, Corey (Gowee) Nelson, and Logan (Tatsi) Nelson; and her great-grandchildren, Leela Searcy and Gunnar Searcy.

At the request of Ms. Goldsmith, there will be no services held.
