Judy Woodberry (Coward) Hyder

Judy Coward Woodberry Hyder of Flat Rock, NC, formerly of Johnsonville, SC, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at her home. 

Judy was born on April 8, 1961 in Florence County, SC, and was the daughter of Sarah McKenzie Coward and the late William Donald Coward of Johnsonville, SC and Hendersonville, NC.  She enjoyed riding her motorcycle and being with her grandchildren and family.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her spouse, Donald “Donnie” Hyder of the home; children, Chad Woodberry of Gresham, SC and Misty Reese of Flat Rock, NC; grandchildren, Tanner Woodberry of Gresham, SC, Aleah Reese and Caitlin Reese both of Flat Rock, NC; brothers, Carl (Phyllis) Coward of Johnsonville, SC, Wayne Gerald of Charlotte, NC; and sister, Teresa (Raymond) Turner of Johnsonville, SC; nieces, Abby (Gordon) Williams, Aaliyah Dennis, Donna (Clay) Prosser, Kenslie Prosser all of Johnsonville, SC, Elizabeth Cook (Scott McGee) of Olanta, SC, Beth (Tyler) Wiman of Sumter, SC, Cassi (David) Poston of Lake City, SC, Wanda, Whittney, and Wynter Gaster of Johnsonville, SC, and Somer Gerald and Harper Gerald both of Pamplico, SC; and nephews, William Dennis and Rimington Prosser both of Johnsonville, SC, Gunnar McGee of Olanta, SC, Corey Barnhill of Georgetown, SC, Gordy Stone of Sumter, SC, Frankiw Foxworth of Hemmingway, SC, Westly Beckwith of Johnsonville, SC, and Kellen Smith of Coward, SC.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine (Midget) Cook. 

Judy was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother and will be missed by those her knew her. A memorial service will be held at her mothers home, 542 Sparrow Tree Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555, on June 8, 2019 at 4:00pm.
