Julie Ann Huntley

Julie Ann Huntley, 53, of Marshall, NC passed away on August 22, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. Julie was born on November 30, 1971 in Warner Robbins, GA.

Julie made her home in Marshall for the past eight years, where she found peace and community. She earned an associate degree in Business Management from UNC Asheville and another in Medical Transcription from AB Tech, reflecting both her ambition and dedication to learning.

Professionally, Julie served with care and diligence at Asheville Gastroenterology Associates. Outside of work, she found joy in reading, crafting, and immersing herself in the world of books and creativity.

Above all, Julie was a devoted wife, mother, and “Grammy.” A source of unconditional love and loyalty to her family. Her gentle spirit and nurturing heart touched everyone around her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Surviving Julie is her loving spouse of 30 years, Rodney Huntley; sons, James Chase Huntley (Montana Richardson) of Asheville, NC, Logan Daniel Huntley of Marshall, NC; grandchild, Ella Rose Huntley of Asheville, NC; neices, Emily Staton of Asheville, NC, Laura Staton of Asheville, NC; and life long best friend, April Reid of Johnson City, TN.

A memorial service will be held at Maple Ridge Baptist Church, 133 Medford Branch Road, Candler, NC 28715, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 6:30PM. Pastor Josh DeHart will be officiating.
