June Patrick "Pat" (Nelson) Glazener

June Patrick “Pat” Nelson Glazener passed April 26, 2021, at home in Arden, North Carolina. She was eighty.

            Pat was born September 30, 1940, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She spent her childhood with her parents, the late Nettie Mae Jackson Nelson and Roscoe Cartwright Nelson, in Flat Rock, North Carolina. A thirty-year resident of Arden, she spent several years living in Brevard, North Carolina. Pat earned an associate degree and had retired from her work. She loved flowers and plants. Pat was a member of the Episcopal Church.

            Surviving Pat are her husband, James H. Glazener, to whom she was married forty-seven years; children Chris Betz of Blacksburg, Virginia, and Carla Allen of Morganton, North Carolina, and step-children Shari McPherson of Payadel Carmen, Mexico, and James E. Glazener of Raleigh, North Carolina; and grandchildren Emma Betz of Portland, Oregon, Eli and Addie Betz, both of Blacksburg, Virginia, and Jay and Glen Allen, both of Morganton, North Carolina.

            After a private family gathering celebrating her life, interment will be at Mt. Moriah Calvert Church Cemetery.
