Katherine Hale Krcal

            Katherine “Grandma” Hale Krcal of Hendersonville, North Carolina, died Friday, April 16, 2021, at the age of eighty-one.

            Katherine was born June 27, 1939, to Priscilla Hale Andrews and Rainy Hale in Transylvania County, North Carolina. She spent time living in Cleveland, Ohio, and retired from factory work. Katherine enjoyed drawing, loved animals, and liked to watch tv. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

            Katherine’s spouse, Clayton, brothers Raymond (Dottie) Hale and Thomas (Barbara) Hale, and sisters Marylan (Bill) Sack and Anita (Jim) Sentelle preceded her in death.

            She is survived by her children, Marylan Collins of Tallassee, Alabama, Clay Krcal of West Lake, Ohio, Clyde Krcal, Craig (Erica) Krcal, Sr., of Sullivan, Ohio, and Connie (Ray) Oszterling of Hendersonville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Lenny Krcal, Sr., of Ohio, Jason (Crystal) Collins, Sr., of Tallassee, Alabama, Christian Collins of Tallassee, Alabama, Melinda Collins of Tallassee, Alabama, Michael Oszterling of Brevard, North Carolina, Carrie Oszterling of Brevard, North Carolina, Erin Oszterling of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Russel (Janice) D’Souza of Canada, Ashley Krcal of Sullivan, Ohio, Craig (Katie) Krcal, Jr., of Oakland, California, and Kevin Krcal of Sullivan, Ohio; and beloved great-grandchildren, Sierra Lynn Krcal, Lenny Krcal, Jr., Aliah Yelko, Jason Collins, Jr., Caitlyn Collins, Kayla Collins, Cameron Shultz, Madison Waskey, Mya Oszterling, Gwendolyn Oszterling, and Bycen Krcal also by many nieces and nephews.
