Kenneth “Ken” James Anderson of Murphy, NC passed away on August 15, 2021 at the Age of 73. Ken was born and raised in Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Mae Bartram, and step- father, Charles R. Bartram, Sr. of Dayton, Ohio, and grandmother, Ethel Huff of Ohio. Survived by beloved companion Patricia Woosley of Murphy, NC, daughter Melissa (Larry) Taylor of Massachusetts, son Shaun Anderson of Oregon, daughter Dawn Jessing of California, Brother Charles R. (Dawn) Bartram, Jr. of Ohio, Brother Donald J. Lewber of Ohio, and sister, H. Charlene (Dwight) Bruggeman of Ohio along with many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other close family members and friends.
Ken retired from his career as a field recruiter at Stevens Transport. He was well-known with many trucking schools and dedicated his knowledge of the trucking industry to help potential drivers obtain their CDL License. He was author of the book, CDL-Secrets published in November, 2015.
Ken was loved for his one of a kind personality, his humor, his love for adventure, and his generous heart. He loved the mountains and had a beautiful view of them from the porch of his home in Marble, NC where he claimed to be closest to God. He loved his family and was the happiest when he could be with them. Ken will be missed dearly by his family all who knew him.
