Larry Dean Penley

Larry Dean (Deano) Penley, 70, passed away on September 27, 2022 at Mission Hospital.

A native and life-long resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Vernon Bert (B J) Penley and Freida Penland.

Survivors include his son, Buford Penley of Asheville and his daughter, Stephanie (Sissy) Labb of Arden; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren: April Franklin Gunter, Alexis Labb, Jaxton Labb, Chloe Watkins and Lilly Franklin. He also has a surviving sister and two brothers: Judy Hedrick, Harold Penley and Richard Penley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Richard Penland.
