Lenore Helen Weslow

Lenore Helen Weslow, 76, of Sylva, N.C., passed from this earthly realm on January 26, 2022.

Born in New York, NY on March 2,1945 to the late Walter (Bodhan Waldimir Wesolowsky) and Helen (Drozdowski) Weslow, she is also preceded in death by her Uncle Ted and Aunt Josephine (Drozdowski) Yaremko.

Lenore was a loving and adventurous soul who lit up any room with her bright smile and positive outlook. She enjoyed travel, dining with friends, supporting local farmers and craftspeople, and caring for needy animals.

She will be dearly missed by her friends, including Kathy Calabrese, Bill and Patricia Weinert, Shirley Knapp, David Yow, Carolyn and Ed Calandro, Lauren Millan, Malika Platt and Martha Lewis, adult stepchildren, Robin Liljenquist, JoLynne Angle and Brian Howell, her canine companion Durga, and countless beings with whom she shared her loving spirit.

A celebration of life service will be held at noon, Sunday, May 22 at East La Porte Park in Tuckasegee, at the picnic pavilion. Light refreshments will be served. Potluck contributions are appreciated. All invited and welcome.
