In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Brent Emory; son and his spouse, Derle Brent Emory and Maureen Emory; and brother, Linwood Dollar.  Surviving are her children, Marilyn Heiser and her spouse, Richard, Edenton, NC, Joel Emory and his partner, Helen Pittman, of Black Mountain, NC; and Brian Emory and his spouse, Julie, of Marshall, NC; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
