Leonard Ray West

Leonard Ray West, 69, of Candler passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his home.

Born November 11, 1954 in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late Bobby and Stella West.  He was a graduate of Enka High School class of 1973 and was a retired private contractor for construction. Of his many enjoyments in life, working on muscle cars and spending time with his family were the most important.

He was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother. He loved his family and dedicated his life to everyone he loved. He was our heart and he will be missed by us all deeply. Never forgotten and always missed, until we meet again in Heaven, we love you.

Surviving are his children, Michelle Frady of Simpsonville, SC and Amy Gates of Candler, NC; siblings, Brenda McClure, Karen Thomas, Kenneth West, and Ellen Hensley all of Candler, NC; grandchildren, Cruize Frady, Amber Davis, Tiffany Davis, and Haley Crowe; and great grandchildren, Jaylin Brito, Gionne Trujillo, Julius Trujillo, Zaylee Frady and Wesley Frady.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
