Linda June Fite

Linda June Fite, 86, of Fletcher passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at the Solace Center in Asheville, NC. Born June 3, 1938 in Buncombe County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Robert H. Fite Sr. and Sadie Miller Fite. She was a graduate of A.C. Reynolds High School class of 1955 and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Most of her career, she worked in the rental car industry. Of her many hobbies, she enjoyed exploring the restaurant scene and traveling.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her life partner, Jim Herron. Surviving is her brother, Robert H. Fite Jr (Charlene Lance), of Fairview, NC; nephews, Neal Fite (Amy) and Jason Fite (Lisa), both of Fairview, NC, and also several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nephews, and great-nieces.  A graveside ceremony will be held at three o’clock the afternoon of Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Cane Creek Cemetery in Fairview, NC.
