Mack Raybon Simmons, 84, of Balsam Grove, NC passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Transylvania Hospital.
Mack was born on February 21, 1941 in Pike County, AL to the late Mack George Simmons and Mary Eugenia Davis. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Alma Owen Simmons.
Mack proudly served in the United States National Guard. He later resided in Clewiston, FL and Balsam Grove, NC . He was retired as a mechanic and pastor. Mack was a member and pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church in Lake Toxaway, NC for many years. He loved music, spending time with his family, and collecting speakers and clocks.
Surviving Mack are his children, Jake Simmons of Easley, SC, Nenia Crawford (Roger) of Lake Toxaway, NC, April S. Judd of Balsam Grove, NC; grandchildren, Jasper Grooms (Regina) of Anderson, SC, Joshua Grooms (Heather) of Honea Path, SC, Vada J. Wolf (Kenny) of Balsam Grove, NC; great grandchildren, Jacey, Jasmine, Ashlyn, Nikolai, Gabriel, Emily, Walt (D.W.); many nieces, nephews, and adopted (Store-bought) children.
A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations be made to Balsam Grove Fire Department.
