Major Long, Sr. Obituary
Major L. Long, Sr., 81, long time resident of Cashiers, NC died peacefully September 22, 2020.
Major was born in Madison, WI on September 2, 1939 to the late Dr. Leonard Long and Florence Long. Major was a pioneer in Fire/Smoke Restoration and a nationally known consultant, retiring in 1986.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Long Ward.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Tami Perussault and husband Michel Perussault of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Son Major L. Long, Jr. and wife Canan Long of Cornelius, NC. Beloved grandchildren, Lauren Perussault, Arlington, VA; Natalie Perussault, Los Angeles, CA; Erdogan Long and Olivia Long, Cornelius, NC. Major is also survived by the mother of his children and lifelong friend, Susan Long, Atlanta, GA.
A private memorial service will be held.
