Marilyn K. Bressler

Marilyn K. Bressler, age 86, of Hendersonville, NC passed away on August 9, 2025 in Hendersonville, NC. Marilyn was born in Waterville, Kansas on June 23, 1939 to the late Barton and Doris Parker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn L. Farmer.

Marilyn was a graduate of Kansas University Medical Center and earned her LPN degree in 1958. She began her nursing career while residing in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Marilyn enjoyed her work at Pisgah Manor Skilled Nursing Facility in Candler, NC before retiring in 2012. All her life she had a passion for reading and she greatly enjoyed cooking. She was a member of Moores Grove United Methodist Church and was also affiliated with the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for women. Marilyn cherished the time spent with her family and was blessed to be surrounded by family at her passing as she went to be with the Lord.

Marilyn is survived by her loving spouse of 65 years, Charles Bressler; her daughters, Melissa Flowers (Jeff) of Commerce, GA and Jennifer Green of Asheville, NC; and her grandchildren, Corey Flowers of Lawrenceville, GA, Alicia Flowers of Commerce, GA, and Alex Green of Asheville, NC.
