Mary Fowler

Mary Fowler of Asheville, North Carolina, passed June 20, 2024, at the age of eighty-two. She was born August 28, 1941, to the late Leland and Clara Roberson in Yancey, North Carolina.

Mary held a deep fondness for animals. Every day, she would toss seeds and food scraps into her yard to watch her local birds and squirrels. She enjoyed tending to her garden and kept several plants thriving for years on end. Coffee and conversation were always a big part of her life.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by sisters, Bernice, Millie and Louise, and brothers, William and Alfred.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Brittain of Vero Beach, Florida; sister, Judy DiCarlo of Riverside, California; grandchildren, Lauren Mackie of Spokane, Washington, and Jay Mackie of Vero Beach, Florida; son-in-law, Timothy Brittain of Vero Beach, Florida; and boyfriend, Bill Pruett of Asheville, North Carolina.

Mary will be dearly missed. She was a loving mom and grandma. She loved spending time with her family and boyfriend, and we all cherished our time with her. She had a playful sense of humor and a healthy appreciation for the little things in life.
