Mary Patricia Jones

Pat Jones, 89, recently of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021 at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents Lucy and Carl Patterson; her husband James Jones of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; her siblings, Robert Patterson, Carl Patterson, Margerie Taylor, and Dorothy DeTuerk; and a stepson, Brian Jones. She is survived by three daughters, Leslie Sladky-Hillman (Ed Hillman) of Fletcher, NC, Lorraine Price of Palm Desert, CA, and Jeanne Quiros (Miguel) of Raleigh, NC;  grandchildren Luke (Rosemary Clark), Lucy and Conrad Hillman, Drew (Nickie Kluge), David (Rena Tran), and Leah Price, Charlie (Ali) and Robert Quiros; 2 great-granddaughters, Sterling Price and Lia Quiros, and several nephews and nieces. She is also survived by two stepdaughters, Kim (Glenn) Helms and Rebecca Jones; and step grandchildren April Helms and Brad Jones.

Pat was born on March 12, 1932 in Wheeling, West Virginia and grew up in Cadiz, Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University. She lived in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio until May 2021. After her daughters were older she worked as a secretary in the guidance office of Woodridge High School, and later in the Finance Dept. of the Revere School District. She was a longtime member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Cuyahoga Falls. She and Jim happily travelled the country in their motorhome, spending many winters in Palm Desert, CA.
