Mary Louise (Miller) Phillips

Brevard- Mary Louise Phillips (Miller), 81, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 26, 2022.

A native of Transylvania County, Louise was the daughter of the late Lee Haines Miller and Cora Searcy Miller Wolfe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, James (infant), Donald (Don), Clifton (Cliff) Miller and sister Ruby Miller McCall.

Louise spent many years working for P.H. Glatfelter/Ecusta in addition to her sewing and upholstery business. She had a love for photographs, sewing, working in the garden and a green-thumb like no other. Those who were close to Louise, knew you would never walk away empty handed when visiting with her. She had a keen memory and enjoyed sending cards and clippings for birthdays to friends and family.

She is survived by her three children, Jerry Phillips of Juliette, GA, Keith Phillips and wife Pam of Columbia, TN and Vicki Phillips Dalton and husband Joel of Lincolnton, NC, two sisters, Marie Ingram of Columbia, SC and Ruth Owen of Sapphire, NC and brother Larry Miller of Lake Toxaway. “Meemaw” was blessed with six grandchildren who brought so much joy to her life; Brianna Phillips Adcock and husband Stephen, Stone Phillips, Easton Phillips and wife Ali, Ethan Phillips and Kamden & Kadence Dalton, two great granddaughters and several special nieces and nephews.
