Mary Ann Stanberry

Mary Ann Stanberry, age 74, of Hendersonville, NC passed away on May 7, 2025.  Mary was born in Asheville, NC on March 19, 1951 to the late Thomas N. Brown and Betty Jean Brown.

Throughout her life, Mary enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafts, and visiting Charleston, SC.

Mary is preceded in death by her daughter, Tana Jean Oliver and her sister, Carolyn “Augie” Jean Melton.  She is also preceded in death by the numerous pets she had throughout her life, Sally, Lily, Louie, Ginger, Riley, Cody, and Percy.

Mary is survived by her loving spouse of 29 years, Charles “Chuck” F. Stanberry Jr.  She is also survived by her son, John Thomas Robinson, of Suffolk, VA; her siblings, Judy Ahle, of Kansas City, MO, and Kenny Brown, of Labadie, MO; her grandchildren, Lauryn Robinson-Helaire, of Suffolk, VA, J.T. Washington, of Gulfport, MS, and Roger Robinson, of Colorado Springs, CO; her Niece, Ashely Proffitt, of Kansas City, MO; and her great-great grandson, Kai Pittman.  Mary is also survived by her Yorkie, Willow, and Nappy, the cat.

“When I look back on my life, I can easily see that my spouse was the sweetest gift I ever got, and I will be forever grateful.”
