Mary Jean Treadway

Mary Jean Treadway, 85, of Asheville passed away on Tuesday November 9, 2021 after living with Alzheimer's Disease for 6 years. She drew her last breath peacefully with her hands on her Bible. She is preceded in death by the father of her 4 children, Jimmie Hill; husband Richard Treadway; beloved son-in-law Bill Jones; brother Bill Shaver; and grandson Flash Ketron. She was the only daughter of the late Mary Pearl Martin and Haskell Shaver of Cocke County, TN. Survivors include her children Teresa Hill (Michelle), Debbie Ketron, Jenny Jones, and Joe Hill (Lorena). She is also survived by Kim Treadway Walker (David) and Michael Treadway, her husband’s children. In addition to her children, she leaves behind seven grandchildren: Nikki Ketron Capelety-Allen (Larry), Galen Ketron (Tammy), Kitty Dockins (Kelt), Jingles Isham (Cody), Jook Ketron (Avani), Kash Ketron, and Darby Ketron (Sarah). There are nine great grandchildren with one more on the way and one great, great grandchild. Special thanks to her main caregiver the last 2 years-- Michelle Mazzucco; and to her long-time Johnson City friends Ginger and Larry Lane and Pepper and Joe Frazier. The family will hold a private Memorial Celebration at the family cemetery in Bybee, TN.
