Michael Steven Bradley

Michael Steven Bradley, 73, of Fairview passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Born September 7, 1950 in McDowell County, NC, he was a son of the late Claude Arthur Bradley and Ora Pearl Payne. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. He was a graduate of AB Technical College where he received his Electrical Technician Certificate, and was employed during his career by Magnavox Company, Eaton Corporation, Kearfott Guidance and Navigation, and Kimberly-Clark. Of his many interest in life, he enjoyed bird watching, gardening, Do-It-Yourself projects, and spending time with his dogs, Howard and James. Surviving are his children, Mickey Bradley and his spouse, Melanie, of El Paso, TX, Teresa Frisbee of Fairview, NC, and Matthew Bradley and his spouse, Beth, of Greer, SC; sibling, Jack Bradley of Dysartsville, NC; and grandchildren, Michael Bradley, Jr. and his spouse, Meghan, of Randleman, NC, Sarah Bradley of Wichita, KS, Tabitha Frisbee of Asheville, NC, and Campbell Bradley, Callie Bradley, and Nora Bradley all of Greer, SC.  A memorial service will be held at noon on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the Western Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery, 62 Old US Highway 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711 with Rev. Jeremiah Richards officiating.  The family will receive friends at 2 PM on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 31 Bleeker Lane, Fairview, NC 28730. The family would like to express their gratitude to CarePartners Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided Michael in his final days especially Claire Bondy, Megan McNamara, and Phoebe Gibbs.
