Michael Thomas Pruett

Michael Thomas Pruett, 46, of Swannanoa, NC passed away on February 27, 2026 in Black Mountain, NC. Born on November 19, 1979 in Flint Michigan to Karen Lahar and the late Tommy Pruett(2013).

Michael attended Owen High School and went on to work in construction as a laborer. He loved spending time outdoors—hunting, camping, and fishing with his daughter, Eryn. He enjoyed cooking, and nothing made him happier than firing up the grill for a good barbeque.

Surviving Michael is his daughter, Eryn Pruett of Black Mountain, NC; mother, Karen Lahar of Flint, MI; brother, Joe Pruett (Keila) of Asheville, NC; and nieces, Sydney Pruett of Asheville, NC, Ayla Pruett of Asheville, NC.

There was a celebration of life for Michael with family and friends. We reminisced about all the good times we shared.
