Michael Rankin Obituary

Michael William Rankin of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed Monday, January 4, 2021. He was sixty-four.

Michael was born to the late Betty Dolores Young and William John Rankin in Long Island, New York, on September 30, 1956. He was a fisher, golfer and carpenter, and a member of Balfour Baptist Church.

Surviving Michael are his children, Tiffany Rankin of Denver, Colorado, and Nicholas Rankin and daughter – in – law Faith Rankin of Fletcher, North Carolina; siblings Sue Moriarty of Sarasota, Florida, Tracey Rankin McCrain and Terry Rankin both of Fletcher, North Carolina, and Chris Rankin of Florida; and his grandchildren Hunter and Jaxon Hegstrom of Denver, Colorado, and Bailey, Peyton, Hazel and Benjamin Rankin of Fletcher, North Carolina.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at Balfour Baptist Church ( 2502 Asheville Highway, Hendersonville, North Carolina 28791 ).
