Nita "Nina" Williams Smith

     Nita “Nina” Williams Smith, 74, of Burnsville, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020, at her residence.

     Nina was born in Graham County, NC to the late Leonard Williams and Zora Beasley Williams. She was of Baptist faith who enjoyed cooking and working in her flower garden. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.  

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Spencer Lymont Rhodes; a brother, Larry Williams; and a son in law, Paul Moore.

     Survivors include her husband, D. Reid Smith of Asheville; three daughters, Darlene R. Rhodes Roberts and husband David of Candler, Donette M. Rhodes Moore of Black Mountain, and Denice S. Rhodes Williams and husband Chris of Candler; a son, Spencer Lynn Rhodes and wife Cindy of Burnsville; two sisters, Doris Radford of Maryville and Janet Cody of Candler; a brother, Stanley Williams of Candler; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a niece; and two nephews.

     A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
