Patricia Shelton Landers

     Patricia Shelton Landers, lifetime resident of Marshall, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 12, 2022, at the CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville, NC. She was seventy-two.

    Patricia was born to the late Clarence Shelton and Carrie Jane Lunsford Shelton of Marshall, NC. She was born in Madison County, NC, on September 13, 1949. She attended Laurel High School in Marshall, NC. Patricia was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved working outside in her flowers, sewing, quilting, camping and spending time with her family and friends.

     In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Lee Landers, and son Ashley Daryl Landers.

     She is survived by her daughters, Connie Metcalf (Herman) of Marshall, NC, Pamla Owenby (Rick) of Leicester, NC, and Tunya Huskins (Lee) of Erwin, TN; grandchildren Lance Metcalf, Dawson Metcalf, Miles Metcalf, Cameron Clark, Madalin Huskins, MacKenzie Huskins, Keeli Huskins, Britney Ross (Tyler), great-grandchildren Jameson and Brennon Ross; brother Tommie Shelton (Linda) of Marshall, NC; niece Tina Thorpe (Kenney) of Marshall, NC; nephew Randy Shelton (Heather) of Burnsville, NC; stepmother-in-law Velva Landers of Erwin, TN; uncles Bill Lunsford of Greeneville, TN and Charles Lunsford of Hot Springs, NC, and aunt Jenalee Hensley (Clellan) of Erwin, TN; ex-son-in-law Travis Clark of Hot Springs, NC. Special friends include Bernice Shelton and Louella King of Marshall, NC, Gaylaurd and Dianne Owenby of Leicester, NC. Additionally, she is survived by many other special cousins, family and friends.

     A memorial service will be held at Carmen Church of God on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 4pm.
