Patricia Madson Obituary

With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well-lived, we share the passing of Patricia (Pat) A. Madson, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Pat left this world as she lived in it—surrounded by love, cherished by all who knew her, and having made a lasting impact through her kindness, compassion, sense of humor and spunk. Pat was the beloved wife of the late William (Bill) J. Madson, Jr., with whom she shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Their love was a beautiful testament to partnership, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Though his passing left an unfillable space in her heart, she carried his memory forward with grace and strength.

Nothing brought Pat more joy than her role as Grandma to Keaveny, Zoe, Fiona, Rose, and Will. She embraced this role with boundless love, delighting in every milestone, every holiday, and every small but significant moment that made life special. She had a way of making even the simplest occasions feel magical, understanding that the little things—a handwritten note, a perfectly set table, or taking the time to create a beautiful bow on a package—were truly the big things.

Pat lived a life filled with care and compassion. She had a gift for bringing people together, making everyone feel welcome, valued, and truly seen. Whether she was hosting a holiday gathering, Bunco, a happy hour, a friend get-away weekend, or simply showing up for the people she loved, she created a sense of home wherever she went. Her warmth, generosity, and ability to celebrate both the everyday and the extraordinary will be deeply missed.

Her legacy of love and kindness lives on in those she leaves behind. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will forever be a part of us—woven into our traditions, our laughter, and the countless ways she made life more beautiful.

The family asks that you honor Pat’s spirit by sharing kindness, welcoming others as she did, and taking a moment to appreciate the little things that make life extraordinary.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Pat’s name to The Mile of Hope Foundation, a non-profit that both Pat and Bill enjoyed being a part of in Atlantic Beach.
