Peggy Austin Obituary

Peggy Ann Chandler Austin, 77, of Asheville, NC passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.

Peggy was born in Mars Hill, NC on June 20, 1943, to the late James Chandler and Gertrude English Chandler. She was married to her husband of 58 years, Richard Austin. Peggy enjoyed gardening, bargain shopping, and spending time with her five grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Richard Austin of Asheville; three sons, Tommy Austin and wife Sandy of Manitou Springs, CO, Jeff Austin, and Steve Austin, both of Asheville; a daughter, Amy Austin of Asheville; two brothers, Arthur Chandler and wife Sue and Johnny Chandler and wife Donna, all of Mars Hill; and five grandchildren, Jessica Austin, Adam Austin, Kaiya Austin, Lena Austin, and Jayden Ferguson.
