Phyllis Juanita (Roberts) Lyon

Phyllis Juanita Roberts Lyon, age 76, of Fairview, NC passed away on October 14th, 2023 in Asheville, NC.  Phyllis was born on July 30, 1947 in Asheville, NC to the late William Henry Davis and Kelly Juanita Ashton Davis. 

Phyllis graduated from Owen High School and was employed at Big Lots for many years.  Phyllis was a member of Azalea Methodist Church.  She enjoyed reading, working on puzzle books, and working out in the yard and decorating the house for the holidays. 

Phyllis is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Davis, son, Lloyd Robert Morrow, and her husband, Jack Lyon.  She is survived by her children, Dana Ayers, of Asheville, NC, Russell Roberts, of Fairview, NC, and April Roberts Elam (Johnny), of Asheville, NC; her siblings, Linda Miller and Billy Davis, both of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Valarie Williams, Kairi Lee, and Dylan Murphy, all of Asheville, Mathias Williams, of Statesville, NC, and Denise Robert, Ricky Roberts, Michael Ball, and Brandon Ball, all of Swannanoa, NC.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and her Big Lots family who she adored working with, Sean, Kim, Lee, April, Shelly, and Mrs. Ruth.

A service will be held at noon on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC.
