Ralph David Goodwin

Ralph David Goodwin, 87, of Old Fort, NC passed away on September 10, 2025. Born on September 19, 1937 in Detroit, MI to the late Brace Goodwin and Ellen Madeline Hade. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his brother, Albert.

Ralph honorably served in the Armed Forces and embraced his faith as a Jehovah’s Witness, being baptized in 1984.

Surviving Ralph is his loving spouse of 40 years, JoAnn Goodwin; children, Adam Swope of Gainsville, FL, Jason Swope of Louisville, OH, Rachel Goodwin of FL, and Elaine Goodwin of FL.

A service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 13, 2025. Joe Frohbose will be officiating. A interment will be held at a later date at the North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
