Richard Trexler Obituary

Richard “Rick” Lewis Trexler, 60, of Hendersonville passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center in Asheville. Born August 26, 1960 in Asheville, he was the son of the late Benjamin Lewis Trexler and Patricia Bergoman Trexler. He was an alumnus of U.N.C. Asheville where he received his B.S. in Computer Science. He was employed by Givens Retirement Community. Of his many enjoyments in life, hiking in the great outdoors, raising his pet gecko and snake, and attending concerts of classic rock bands such as 38 Special, REO Speedwagon, and KISS were among his favorites. Surviving are his children, Alicia N. Trexler and her spouse, David Jeffers, of N. Augusta, SC, and Hannah P. Trexler of Hendersonville, NC. A private family service will be held at a later date.
