Ricky Lee Collins

Ricky Lee Collins, 66, of Hendersonville, NC passed away on March 5, 2025. He was born in Hendersonville, NC on December 20, 1958 to the late Margaret Fowler Collins and William Franklin Collins.

Ricky was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie, Don; sister, Cindy; and brother-in-law, Gary Ware.

Ricky graduated from West Henderson High School in 1977. After working at Cranston Print Works, he retired from the City of Hendersonville Water Department. Ricky was passionate about all things automotive; he loved working on cars and watching drag racing and NASCAR. He also had a talent for grilling, often cooking delicious meals for his family. Additionally, Ricky was an avid pro-wrestling fan and enjoyed watching old westerns with his beloved wife, Dee.

Surviving Ricky is his loving wife of 29 years, Delores “Dee” Nix Collins of Hendersonville, NC; son, Matt Collins (Stacey) of Hendersonville, NC; niece, who was more like a daughter, Hannah Ware (Mark Heller) of Forest City, NC; and great-grand niece, Isabella Heller of Forest City, NC.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
