Robert William Kirchner, Sr., of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed November 13, 2023. Born April 3, 1936, to the late Charles and Stella Brusseau Kirchner in Springfield, Massachusetts, Robert was eighty-seven.
Robert was a fourteen-year resident of Hendersonville, previously of Naples, Florida. He served in the United States Navy during the period of the Korean War. He was the founding owner of Diocesan Cemetery Consultants in Naples, and a longtime member of National Catholic Cemetery Conference (NCCC). Robert was a member and past president of the Lions Club, and a longtime golf enthusiast.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert W. Kirchner, Jr., (Theresa) of Eagle, Pennsylvania, Steven R. Kirchner of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Michael J. Kirchner (Vicki) of Jay, New York; siblings, Charles F. Kirchner of Naples, Florida, George B. Kirchner (Bernice) of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, and Joan Posly (Louis) of Dupont, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Jacquelin, Nicole, Katherine (“Katie”), and Ridall; and nieces, Linda, Kera, Michele and Lisa, and nephews, Bernie, Greg and Kevin.
A memorial service and interment will be at Black Mountain State Veterans Cemetery, November 27, 2023, at 12 PM.
