Robert Eugene "Bob" Pruitt

            Robert Eugene “Bob” Pruitt, age ninety-six, passed Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at home in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

            Bob was born to the late Sarah Cornelia Worsham Pruitt and Otto Franklin Pruitt in Bamburg, South Carolina. He served in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Soley in World War II. He was a Mason and a Shriner, and a member of the American Legion. Bob was retired from Ecusta Corporation. He was a lifelong resident of Henderson County, and a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church.

            In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. “Hobby” Pruitt, Jr., and by his son-in-law, Phillip Ray Owen.

            He is survived by Ruby Leona Fisher Pruitt, to whom he was married sixty-four years, by his daughters, Linda Johnson (Warren) of Etowah, North Carolina, Shirley Pruitt-Owen of Rosman, North Carolina, and Connie Pruitt-Clark (David) of Hendersonville, North Carolina; and by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
