Roberta Ann Regnery, 66, of Cullowhee, North Carolina, died peacefully Thursday, February 6, 2020, at Highlands-Cashiers Hospital due to complications resulting from cancer.
Roberta was born April 3, 1953, in Palo Alto, California to the late historian Dorothy Regnery and Stanford University professor of biology David Regnery. She attended Woodside High School, University of California at Santa Barbara, University of California at Davis, and earned a Bachelor degree from Stanford University. Roberta worked as a biological technician, a graphic designer, and as a bank teller. Roberta was an avid gardener, family genealogist, and crafted unique dolls and doll garments.
She is survived by her brothers, Richard Regnery and his wife, Gretchen, of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, and Russell Regnery and his wife, Helen, of Highlands, North Carolina; her niece, Roslynn Regnery and grand-niece Addalyn Cache Stoltz of Lyons, Colorado; and her step-niece, Donna Maria Lindsey of Rochester, Vermont.
