Ronnie Hayes Bryson, 66, of Mills River, NC, passed away at his home on May 13, 2026. He was born on August 18, 1959, in Transylvania County, NC, to James Richard Bryson of Brevard, NC, and the late Frances Love Bryson.
In addition to his mother, Ronnie was preceded in passing by his grandson, Bobby Haynes Bryson(2012).
Ronnie spent his early years in Pisgah Forest before making his home in Mills River. He proudly served his country in the United States Armed Forces as a Police Officer. After returning from the military, he built a career in construction, worked as a handyman, and later became a truck driver. Ronnie had a natural talent for building and creating with his hands—crafting everything from bird feeders to one of his favorite projects, a dollhouse he lovingly made for his granddaughter, Abigail.
He enjoyed watching S.W.A.T. and classic John Wayne films, and he especially loved grilling out and spending time with his family. Ronnie and his granddaughter shared a special bond, often fishing and hunting together.
In addition to his father, Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sandra Bryson of Mills River, NC; his daughters, Charity Bryson and Saraann Bryson, both of Mills River, NC; his brother, Jim Bryson (Cindy) of Brevard, NC; his beloved granddaughter, Abigail Elene Bryson of Mills River, NC; and his nephews, Kenny Bryson (Cori) of Brevard, NC, and Jeremy Bryson of Oklahoma.
