Rosalie Guthrie Moore

     Rosalie Guthrie Moore, 69, of Asheville, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at her residence.

     Rose was born in Asheville on May 12, 1951, to the late Andrew Guthrie and Christine Wyatt Banks. She grew up at the Presbyterian Home for Children in Black Mountain and was a graduate of Owen High School. Rose was of Presbyterian faith and was married to her beloved husband of 41 years, Terry Markus Moore. She will be greatly missed.

     In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Bill Guthrie.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Terry Moore of Asheville; a daughter, Michelle Guthrie of Arcadia, FL; a step son, Rusty Moore and wife Mary of Candler, NC; a sister, Waynette McManus and husband Ronnie of Columbia, SC; and three brothers, Jack Guthrie of Virginia Beach, VA, Gene Guthrie of Asheville, and Mike Banks and wife Shelia of Asheville.

     A private family memorial service will be held at a later date at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Black Mountain Home for Children, 80 Lake Eden Rd., Black Mountain, NC 28711.
