Sam Bernie Webb Jr., 93 of Clyde died, Thursday, August, 11, 2013. A native of Heartshorn, OK, he was the son of the late Samuel Bernie, Sr. and Willa Sutton Webb. He is also preceded in death by his spouse Julia Rodgers Webb, son-in-law, Karl Buelow and brother, Bill Webb. He was an undergrad of Miss. State and received a degree in engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He was the founder of Webb Co. Engineering and proudly served our country as a Captain in WWII. He also enjoyed playing the trumpet, working crossword puzzles, reading the NY Times, Asheville Citizen Times, and the Wall Street Journal daily. He was an avid news watcher and a lover of gadgets. He is survived by his loving daughter, Nancye Buelow of Clyde, granddaughters, Julie Buelow Mulhern (Matt) of Clyde and Jessica Buelow Denton of Hawaii, great grandchildren, Georgia, Jack, and Julia Mulhern, cousin, Matthew Dowdy of Clyde and caregiver of 6 years, Karla Neri,   A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, August 16 at Crabtree United Methodist Church, 5405 Crabtree Rd., Clyde, NC of which he was a member. Rev. Terry Roland will be officiated. Please send memorials to the Crabtree UMC.
