Sandra (Gordon) Smith

Sandra Alanoa Gordon Smith, 80, of Buncombe County, passed away on September 30, 2019, at her home in Asheville, NC.

Sandra was born November 24, 1938 to William Gordon and Audrey Vardlman in Buncombe County, NC, where she spent her life. She was a retiree of the UMAR Corp. and a member of the Family of Faith Fellowship.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, as well as her brother Gene Gordon.

Sandra is survived by her daughter Dawn Dollinger of Asheville, NC; sons David Smith and Darren Smith (Michelle) of Asheville, NC; sister Donna Gibson of Fletcher, NC; grandchildren Jessica Smith of Pennsylvania, Nathan Dollinger (Ashlie) of Clyde, NC, Jennifer Williams of Asheville, NC, and Jessica ‘Mattie’ Moore (Chris) of Fairview, NC; as well as seven great-grandchildren.

A service for Sandra will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Family of Faith Fellowship Church on 231 Long Sholes Rd in Arden, NC. Visitation will be held from 12PM to 1PM with service to follow. James King will be officiating.

Sandra was a lover of life and her family was her rock. She had a deep devotion to God and her church, and being with her friends never ceased to being joy to all those around.

Memorials may be directed to Family of Faith Fellowship Church. Asheville Mortuary Services is honored to serve the family.
