Sara Elizabeth (Brown) Bryson

Sara Elizabeth (Brown) Bryson, 90, of Pisgah Forrest passed away on June 30, 2025 in Brevard, NC. Born on August 4, 1934 in Transylvania County, NC to the late Herman Brown and Essie Metcalf Brown. In addition to her parents, Sara is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Bryson; daughter, Debora Simpson; sisters, Joyce Poor, Lucille Holden; brother, Freeman Brown; grandson, David Simpson Jr.; and great-grandson, Brayden Nicholson.

Surviving Sara is her daughter, Sheila Nicholson of Brevard, NC; son, Vernon Bryson (Teresa) of Pisgah Forrest, NC; grandchildren, Bam (Brooke), Jeniffer, Mikey (Tracy), Michalee, Brenna, Anna, Mandi (Sherrif), Bonnie (Erwin), Brenda, Clayton (Sarah), Logan (Kelly), Catlyn (Justin), Taylor (Carle), Megan (Josh); brother-in-law, George Poor of Pisgah Forrest; sons-in-law, David Simpson of Brevard, NC, Keith Nicholson of Brevard, NC; sisters-in-law, Kathy Babb of Brevard, NC, and Judy Bryson of Brevard, NC.

A celebration of life will be held on July 19, 2025 at Turkey Creek Church at 3PM with a visitation starting at 2PM. Officiating will be Ronnie Owen. She will be interred where ever the wind may blow her. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made to the Turkey Creek Cemetery Fund.
