Sarah Louise Frizzell

Sarah Louise Frizzell, 83, of Canton, NC passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in Maggie Valley, NC. Born January 8, 1941 in Haywood County, NC, she was the daughter of the late McKinley and Jackie Robinson. She was a graduate of Canton High School and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. She enjoyed reading a good book and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addtion to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, Leroy Frizzell; daughter, Angela Frizzell; and granddaughter, Kaleesie Rain Townsend. Surviving are her children, Karen Frizzell Townsend and spouse, Michael, of Hayesville, NC, and James McKinley Frizzell and spouse, Barbara, of Canton, NC; brother, Doug Robinson and spouse, Patricia Robinson of Canton, NC; grandchildren, Kiano Frizzell and spouse, Shania Sharp, of Canton, Robbie Frizzell of South Carolina, Ashleigh Thompson and spouse, Mitch, of Hendersonville, NC, James Townsend of Hayesville, NC, Miranda Louise Townsend of Hayesville, NC, Devin Viar of Robinsville, NC, and James Thomas Frizzell of Canton, NC; and great-grandchildren, Faith Townsend of Hayesville, NC, Aiden Blythe of Hendersonville, NC, Will Townsend of Hayesville, NC, Gracen Viar of Robinsville, NC, Hannah Townsend of Hayesville, NC, Wesley Townsend of Morganton, GA, Jaylee Lowe of Canton, NC, and Jayden Frizzell of Canton, NC.Jaxan Matheson of Hendersonville NC. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and always put her family first. She was the heart of the family and loved unconditionally.
