Sean Edward Karan

Sean Edward Karan 39, of Mills River, NC went home to be with the lord Monday January 19th, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Karan. He is survived by his mother Carolyn Karan, brother William King, sister Allison Karan and nephew Abram Greenlee, his son Sydney Sprague (mother Ashley Sprague Tipton), life partner Frances Henson along with her daughters Layna and Aria, and many family, friends and people who’s hearts and lives Sean touched. He loved music, comedy, going to concerts, being outside making fires, grilling outdoors, cooking for his family and friends, fishing, hiking, fast cars, motorcycles, riding dirt bikes with his nephew and spending time with his son . We will forever remember Sean’s infectious smile and laughter, his wonderful sense of humor and his huge heart and love for other people. He would help anyone if he could and was a great friend, love, and family member to many.  His memorial service took place in Mills River at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church on Saturday February 7th at 3pm across from his childhood home. Although we will greatly miss Sean, we are thankful and grateful to have the time we had with him. He was a bright and shining soul to all who knew him.
