Sherrill Robert Owenby

            Sherrill Robert Owenby, eighty-three, passed Monday, November 14, 2022, at home in Asheville, North Carolina. He was born to the late Walter and Mildred Baker Owenby in Asheville May 12, 1939.

            Sherrill is survived by his husband of twenty-two years, David Allen.

            Sherrill was a wood worker and retired machinist. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Sherrill served in the United States Army between 1965 and 1967 and spent eight years in Reserves.

            Interment will be at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
